Buford Highway Flea Market Going Away

In May, the City of Chamblee voted to approve a Planned Unit Development (PUD) at 5000 Buford Highway, the current location of the flea market.

The planned development, called City Farmers Market, includes renovation of the existing building, new facade as well as interior conversion into retail and a grocery store.  In addition, 3 new outparcel retail buildings are planned to be located adjacent to Buford Highway.  Associated parking improvements, landscaping, and sidewalks are included in the design and in conditions that were adopted by the council at time of approval.

You can see the agenda minutes and associated documents here: http://chambleecityga.iqm2.com/Citizens/Calendar.aspx

Select May 16 Agenda Packet.

The PUD section begins on page 102
The renderings start on page 152
Civil site plan starts on page 176
Sign plans start on page 183

Look forward to having this site upgraded significnatly.  Hopefully the adjoining businesses and buildings will get much needed improvements as well.

The minutes on the vote can be found under May 21st meeting.

There is a public hearing on Thursday, August 15 for a small addition to the approved PUD.
