Blue Birds and more . . .

A few weeks ago I found the Wild Bird Center in Dunwoody, after a recomendation by one of our residents, Harold in the Tilly Mill area, and had a chance to talk the owner about blue birds.

He recommended a couple of things, including live meal worms which they sell in tubs of 500 for $5.99, and so I set-up shop.

Over the last few weeks I have been visited by 3 pair of blue birds (pictured below) who visit the mealworms and suet feeders, not to mention a plethera of others including:
  • Carolina Wren
  • Cardinals
  • Ruby Crowned Kinglet
  • Carolina Chickadee
  • White Breasted Nuthatch
  • Tufted Titmouse
  • Pine Warbler (pictured below)
  • Downy Woodpecker
  • Hairy Woodpecker
  • Red Bellied Woodpecker
  • Pine Siskin
  • And others I can't identify
We have so many beautiful birds, if you are remotely interested, take a trip to visit the store and set up your own feeders around your house.  The birds will find the food quickly and you can enjoy watching them dart in and out . . .

Safe travels Monday morning!
